The Author

David Nathie Barnes got his start in Chicago, where he was born and raised. His decision to pursue acting came from a career counselor CD-ROM his mother had pestered him to take for quite some time. The number one occupation recommended by the quiz was theater, so he decided to give it a shot.

Within three months David was cast in a commercial for Empire Carpet, well known for their comedic television ads and a tradition for almost a half century. Since then, David has done assorted projects including stage work in "Colored Museum" and "Mr. Charles Currently of Palm Beach" in the 2007 Orlando Fringe Festival.

That same year proved to be a big one for David, with lead roles in two official selections of the Palm Beach International Film Festival: the short film, "Anatomia" (also best local short winner in the Miami Underground Film Fest) and "9:04am". David can be seen currently in television commercials for ITT and Panda Kichens.

"A Love Lost Life" is Davd's writing debut...unless you count "Dog Gravy," a romping story he wrote for Ms. Armstrong, his creative, inspirational, 4th grade teacher.
